As a writer, Bukola is versatile and has the practical knowledge and wisdom gained in the positions she has been in and what she, and others, have encountered continues to give her momentum. In filmmaking, it is auteurism, and the ability to dive into the heart of a business or a story with aesthetics and diplomacy.
Development through life experiences has placed Bukola on a platform of raising awareness onsocial matters of concern and continuously advancing creative skills with emerging talent for the UK. Film and TV industry. Balancing and binding both community work with film, Bukola has a track-record of brokering these worlds together through Becoming Productions. It began with writingpoetry in 2007 and gradually moved on to script and screenplay writing in 2010. Having workedclosely with talented people in theatre production, Bukola found herself drawn to filmmaking.
In February and March 2015, Bukola screened her first feature film, ‘Heads or Tails’, at The Ritzy inBrixton. Then after, challengingherself to write and produce a short film in 3 days; ‘Where is my Joy’, was selected for theBritish Urban Film Festival and screened at the BUFF Media Day at Channel 4 in September 2015. InMay 2017, Bukola joined the Writer’s Room for the first season of Bulletproof as theScript Editor Assistant. The series aired on Sky One in May 2018.
